Supportive work environments don’t stop at supportive parental leaves; and neither do we

You may have noticed things look a little different around here. We’ve launched a new brand and have new and expanded offerings to go with it. This work isn’t new to us, for seven years we have immersed ourselves in our clients’ worlds – we’ve built annual development plans, we’ve audited programs, and we’ve coached leaders and team members through a variety of changes, transitions, and challenges. And now, we want to formally share this great work with our sector.

Why now? Because we sense the sector is ready for a change. We know organizations want to support their employees with more balanced workloads, with thoughtful policies, and ensuring interim team gaps are covered intentionally, but in many cases, organizations are simply too busy or too unclear on the next steps. We’re ready to help you change that.

In our work with parents in the social impact sector we’ve also noticed an important theme, the challenges in navigating the demands of parenting and the demands of our sector don’t stop at parental leaves. We’ve seen caregivers have to step away mid-career for many reasons and ensuring they can come back to work when they are ready, with realistic and supportive workloads, is where we shine. We are ready to make a deeper impact.

We have a renewed vision: we envision a nonprofit sector that values people, recognizing that work is just one part of who we are. They believe parental leaves should be celebrated milestones—not disruptions—and that impactful social profit work can happen with balance, care, and sustainability.
